Reviews only help if people can trust them. This is how we keep them honest.
What a good review looks like
- It is about your own, first-hand experience with the business.
- It describes what happened: the job, the communication, the result, the price you were quoted and what you paid, if you wish.
- It is civil and sticks to facts and honest opinion.
What we do not allow
- Fake reviews, including reviews written by a business owner, employee or relative about their own business.
- Reviews written in exchange for payment, gifts, discounts or other rewards, unless clearly disclosed. We may remove them either way.
- Reviews meant to harm a competitor.
- Personal information (phone numbers, home addresses, license plates), threats, hate speech or harassment.
- Spam, advertising or unrelated links.
How moderation works
- New reviews are held for review before they appear.
- Our team checks them against this policy. We approve or decline reviews based on what they say, not on whether they are positive or negative.
- Businesses cannot pay to have a review removed, and paid placements never change a rating or ranking.
Owners can reply
Verified owners of a claimed listing can reply publicly to any review. Please keep replies factual and polite. Owners cannot edit or delete customer reviews.
Report a review or a listing
If you think a review or listing breaks this policy, tell us on the contact page, choose “Report a listing or review” and include the web address. We look at every report and may ask for more details.
Verified badge
The Verified badge means our team has checked a business’s license and insurance documents. It is not an endorsement of quality. See how we rank.
